Arana is an IP encryption system designed for tactical and strategic defence operations at the highest level of confidentiality.

The Arana VPN system is intended to be used for the transmission of classified information over unsecured IP networks and protection against unauthorized intrusion.

Hardware based network encryption

The system provides the opportunity to use encryption to create secure virtual private networks (VPNs) for the transmission of classified information up to and including Top Secret and EU Secret between closed networks or individual clients over unsecured connections, such as IP networks or the Internet. Information exchange between local smaller networks can be transferred over a common larger network.

Arana is a hardware-based quantum-secured network encryptor that provides the means for truly private communication within a geographically scattered organisation. The system prevents state-funded attackers from reading or changing the data.

Quantum-secure encryption

With quantum-secure algorithms, Arana excels in protecting data with extended lifetime while safeguarding against interception, replay attacks and manipulation of the information.

Arana is approved for sending Swedish Top Secret and EU-secret information over the Internet.

Arana uses Three Domain Separation technology which ensures isolated system administration. The administrative staff can manage the system, without gaining access to classified information.

The administration of larger networks is facilitated by the use of key servers and remote administration, including remote configuration, network monitoring and logging.

Swedish ComSec

The Arana system is part of the Swedish ComSec infrastructure protecting the most sensitive and classified information in Sweden.

Swedish authorities are managing the needs, allocation, and distribution of Arana devices.
